Find Out How Long Has Your Computer Been Running

Want To Know How Long Your PC Has Been Running?

It's always good to know some basic information about your computer.
knowing this gives you a fair idea of what your computer is. Especially
computer information like
OS Name
OS Version
OS Build Type
System Manufacturer
System Type
Memory in use
Product ID
Original Installed date
system model
Domain
Bios version
Registered owner
available Physical memory
Total Physical memory
System Boot time
etc.

just imagine yourself driving one of the posh cars around town
and you have virtually no idear of the Car Brand, Its manufacturer
not even where to check the level of your engene oil. Sounds funny
right? seems somehow funny but a seriouse matter too.

In this article am going to show you a simple way of obtaining
all this information but i will focuse purposely on how you
can get the original installed date of your computer using
the command prompt.

How long has your Computer Been Running?

Below is how you verify system up-time & installed date

for XP and Windows 7 users go to Start | Run and type cmd to open a command prompt.
At the prompt,

If you are using Win. 8 & 8.1, click on the Windows Icon on the left button side
of your desktop screen. while in the start menu (Metro style), type cmd to open
the command prompt window.

Now in the command prompt type "systeminfo" and press Enter

Scroll down the list of information to the line that says System Up Time/ original installed date.
depending on the type of OS you are running.

This will tell you in days, hours, minutes and seconds how long the system has been running.
